Rental Procedures
  • The person making a reservation must be a Fairview Heights resident, business, or organization, and may come to the Parks and Recreation Office or go online to
  • If the pavilion fee is paid by cash or check, an additional deposit check will be collected at the time of the reservation. Cash or money orders will not be accepted for the deposit. If fees are paid using a credit or debit card, the deposit is waived and the resident pays the fee only.  
  • Requests for the use of a facility must be during the calendar year in which the use will occur and can be made the first working day in January. Only one reservation will be confirmed for an individual, businesses or organization at any one time.
  • Keys, if required, must be picked up on the last business day before the date of the reservation, and must be returned the next business day after the day (Monday - Friday from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.). If keys are not picked up in advance for Moody Pavilion No. 5, your party will not be able to use the kitchen area.
  • Deposit checks will be held until the reserved facility has been inspected. Trash needs to be picked up and placed in cans, and the pavilion is to be cleaned and undamaged. All trash bags must be placed in the supplied dumpsters located in the park. We no longer provide trash bags for reservations. Once inspected and found to have no problems, the deposit will be voided and sent back to the address on the check. Please allow up to 2 weeks for this process.
  • Cancellations must be made no later than one week prior to a reservation for a refund. Any applicable convenience or transaction fees will be deducted from all refunds.
  • Please note that the individual making the reservation will be held responsible for any damages or disturbances during their reservation.
  • Water is not included with your reservation.
Pavilion Rules
  • According to Ordinance No. 190, “The Revised Code”, Chapter 29, Article I, General Regulations, 29-1-1, Prohibited Acts, (K) Sales, “It shall be unlawful for any person other than employees and officials of the City acting on behalf of the City, to vend, sell, peddle or offer for sale any commodity or article within any park.”
  • Amplified sound (band or DJ) is prohibited unless prior approval is given by the Director of Parks and Recreation.
  • There is a maximum capacity for each pavilion. If your event exceeds the maximum allowed, the Fairview Heights Police Department will shut your event down. In addition, your fee and deposit will be forfeited. Each pavilion is allotted a certain number of tables, so do not borrow tables from other pavilions. Parking of vehicles on grassy areas or ares for authorized vehicles is prohibited.
  • No bounce houses, inflatables, or additional tents are allowed without prior approval.
  • No water balloons are allowed.
  • There are no pets allowed at Moody Park.
