Administration reports to the Mayor’s Office and City Council, and is responsible for implementing the decisions made by the City Council. Additionally, the Administration department coordinates those implementation efforts across all of the City’s departments and personnel, managing the organization’s resources as efficiently and cost-effectively as possible. Administration also assists the City Council in reviewing and modernizing operating policies, setting goals and long-range objectives, community planning, and daily operations management.
Administration also represents the City of Fairview Heights throughout the St. Louis metropolitan region and the state of Illinois in intergovernmental and regional projects. Currently, the Administration department includes the City Administrator, Information Technology, Human Resources, and Risk Management. |
